Saturday the 12 November, Areena played host to the second annual Lilyfontein Trailathalon, with over 200 participants, the  river was alive with little swimmers. The run and cycle through the park was a great delight and challenge to some of the novice competitors. 

The event ran smoothly thanks to the great event planning of Lauren, a competitors mum.  All those who took part where rewarded with a medal, which they wore very proudly all day.

The spectators were kept entertained with free pony rides, jumping castles, canoes, Kareena river cruisers as well as a great braai with delicious salads catered by Kiki and the Areena Quays Restaurant.
